Food

Catering Unlimited (redesign) is based in Enfield but travels the entire province (+ PEI), for events of all kinds.  Their extensive menus adapt to the most formal wedding or to a casual barbecue, but always doing it in style!  Susie McDonell has been running CU for 15 years and a broad background in the Hospitality industry, her passion for food & people, and an attention to detail has led to her success; the many testimonials on the site speak for themselves.  The redesign focused on the Home page, adding a touch of elegance while adding information on Catering Unlimited's services & background, as well as an expanded Links section.  Visit Catering Unlimited...

Hans Catering - Hans LeJeune has many years experience in the food services industry and he is a caterer with a difference - he insists on direct handling of the food himself and guarantees to deliver exactly as many meals as you've ordered.  For his website, we of course focused on the fabulous food and great prices Hans offers, but you'll also find information on the other services available - Hans Catering can easily handle all aspects of your event from music to security.  Check out the sample menus and party tray price list, then give Hans a call to discuss your next party!  Visit Hans Catering...

Heritage Village Takeout - Owner Maurice Rees knows his village, the designated Heritage District of Maitland, has much to offer visitors.  But he noticed there were no really convenient places to eat, somewhere tourists and their families could pause for fast, hot food during their visit.  So he bought & improved a chip truck, made some space on his commercial property and voila - lunch is served!  Burgers, fries, platters, and of course fish 'n chips and more are served up hot and tasty mid-May to the end of October.  View the menu...

Humitech Atlantic - Local representative of Humitech International Group in Texas, marketing a unique humidity control system for refrigerated environments.  They cater to restaurants, florists, food markets, medical facilities and your home kitchen.  Humitech panels absorb & then desorb excess moisture to extend food shelf life, reduce spoilage & odours, even lower your electrical bill!  This site reflects the corporate appearance of various worldwide Humitech sites, but with a definite "Atlantic" look to it.

Lisa's Cafe - Right in the heart of downtown Windsor (Shire Town of NS), Lisa's Cafe offers a simple deal that's hard to resist - delicious food, home made from scratch in cozy surroundings; heavenly seafood and decadent desserts are just the highlights of a hearty and varied menu.  The setting is relaxing, yet just a few steps from the bustle of a busy shopping district.  Lisa's wait staff is friendly & efficient, and her kitchen crew really know their stuff too!  The site features the full menu to help you decide 'what you're in the mood for' and tourists will enjoy a selection of links to local sites & activities.  Visit the Cafe...

McCulloch Family Bakery - On a quiet street in the small town of Stewiacke, you'll find a little bakery with big taste tucked away off the main drag.  The McCulloch's pride themselves on making everything from scratch - no mixes or substitutes here!  The page shows the sinful goodies you can enjoy six days a week, and the motif matches the "country gingham" feel of the bakery itself.  Check out "Our Daily Bread" so you'll always know what they're baking fresh today!  Visit McCulloch Family Bakery...

Patticakes Confections - Pat Roberts is a wedding and specialty cake designer with a definite flair for invention.  While comfortably at home with traditional cakes, Pat also encourages the client to "think outside the cake box" and consider modern design ideas to create truly memorable cakes.  The site's background & button set were created just for Pat using bold blues.  Separate Gallery pages of many of her best designs are augmented by a photo album to showcase even more of her talents. Visit Patticakes...

Cafe now open! (Summer 2004)

Village Bakery - Serving Shubenacadie & surrounding areas since 1997. Just stepping into the shop takes you back to a country kitchen as you inhale the wonderful fragrance of freshly baked bread.  Click on the goodies to see close ups, and view a sequence of "transforming" pictures that shows the bread baking process. The colour scheme compliments the Bakery's existing logo, but also avoids yellow, as every other bakery site we researched had almost the same Buttery yellow background!  Visit the Village Bakery...

FleetCon Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention (redesign) FleetCon is an annual September event held at the Fleet Club, CFB Halifax and is open to all members of the public as well as to the military.  The original site needed colour & movement so it was redesigned with a fiery colour scheme to match their logo, the Phoenix.  Composite and "transforming" pictures illustrate the scope of the family-friendly event and the photo gallery spotlights the fun costume and amazing modeling submissions.
